This section contains information on upcoming CD releases as well as currently available recordings. This year’s featured album is the long-awaited release by American Double of William Bolcom’s complete violin and piano works on Albany Records. “Sonatas,” recorded in 2004, includes Beethoven’s stormy “Appassionata” in addition to violin and piano sonatas by Brahms and Ravel.  Upcoming solo discs include “Backwards Glance” and “Fantasies,” while another chamber music release, presenting music of Franck, Shostakovich and Schemmer, features the Baverstam/Finehouse Duo.
